PROCESS TO BECOME A GYROKINESIS TEACHER
GYROKINESIS LEVEL 1 TRAINING PROGRAM
GYROKINESIS LEVEL 1 TRAINING PROGRAM:
- 135 hour Program in 4 courses.
- 3 months to become an apprentice GYROKINESIS teacher
- 1 year to become a certified GYROKINESIS teacher.
- 2200€ (Headquarters official price) + 740€ Studio Fee (Studio organization fees)
2 class formats to offer your students on Chair or Mat.
Once CERTIFIED, the trainer has access to all the other GYROKINESIS refresher training courses.
THE PRICE OF THE TRAINING IS OFFICIAL AND THE SAME EVERYWHERE; PRICES ARE SET BY THE GYROTONIC® HEADQUARTERS; STUDIO FEES ARE SIMILAR EVERYWHERE IN THE WORLD.
GYROKINESIS TRAINING COURSE : A LICENCE VALID FOR 2 YEARS RENEWABLE – UPDATE COURSES
The first Licence is valid for 3 years from the start of the Foundation course and then is renewed every 2 years with an “Update” continuing training course.
THE LICENCE AND CONTINUING TRAINING PROGRAM :
- A GYROTONIC and/or GYROKINESIS licence valid for 2 years
- Renewal of the licence with a minimum of 1 course every two years
- Training and refresher courses available throughout the year
GYROKINESIS TRAINING PROGRAM
COURSE PRE-REQUISITES
It is required to have taken a minimum of 10 GYROKINESIS® sessions with a certified trainer before beginning the process of becoming a Trainer. This is minimum recommendation, but the more classes you take before starting your pre-training the better.
1 – GYROKINESIS PRE-TRAINING LEVEL
Taught by a GYROTONIC® Pre Trainer or Master Trainer.
To understand and integrate the method for yourself in your own body before learning to teach others.
Learn in detail about the exercises and their names.
Experience the hands-on approach taught during the Foundation course.
The first step of the training program is open to all but does not allow you to teach.
You must have completed a minimum of ten classes in order to participate.
Duration : 6 days (30 hours)
Price: 550€ + 150€ Studio Fee
(The cost of the Pre-training may be more expensive if it is a private class)
2 – GYROKINESIS FOUNDATION COURSE LEVEL 1
Taught by a GYROTONIC® Master Trainer.
This is completed from 1 week to 3 months after the Pre-training course.
Anatomy, vocabulary and underlying principles of the method.
Deeper understanding of two GYROKINESIS Level 1 choreographies.
Dissection, technique and evolution of each exercise.
Appropriate hands-on learning.
Learn how to teach a class with Rhythm.
At the end of this program, if the Master Trainer esteems that you are ready to teach, you will be awarded a training certificate and you can begin teaching clients.
Duration : 9 days (45 hours)
Prix: 950€ + 250€ Studio Fee
IMPORTANT : People who are not ready to teach must redo the Foundation course or follow the Master Trainer’s recommendations to access the next phase.
GYROKINESIS LEARNING PERIOD AND PRACTICE
Give a minimum of 30 hours of classes between the FOUNDATION and CERTIFICATION over a period from 6 months to one year.
Complete your SUPERVISION COURSE during this period.
You can teach while being paid on your own account or in a studio of your choice.
3 – GYROKINESIS SUPERVISION COURSE
Supervised by your GYROTONIC® Master Trainer.

Duration : 3 days (30 hours)
Price: 350€ + 150€ Studio Fee
4 – GYROKINESIS CERTIFICATION
Supervised by your GYROTONIC® Master Trainer.
Once you have successfully completed your apprenticeship period, determined by your Master Trainer who has given their authorization, you can sign up for the Final Certification.
In France, certifications only take place at the ANNECY GYROTONIC studio.
Please note : there must be 6 to 12 months between your Foundation course and your Certification. If you exceed this period, you must ask for a special extension from headquarters.
Duration : 3 days of classes (18 hours)
Price: 350€ + 190€ Studio Fee
LICENSE AND GYROKINESIS UPDATE
LA LICENCE et la FORMATION CONTINUE C’EST :
A GYROTONIC and/or GYROKINESIS licence valid 2 years
Renewal of the licence with a minimum of 1 workshop every two years
Training courses and refresher courses throughout the year
Licence Cost: 100€
As a GYROKINESIS Trainer, you must complete an Update course every two years.

FOR INFORMATION
The training will enable you to obtain the Gyrokinesis professional instructor diploma which is delivered by Gyrotonic Headquarters in the United States. In France, this diploma is not recognized as a sports and health professional state certified diploma.
It is your responsibility to find out if your background qualifies you to teach classes of this type professionally.
